About Last Night…CHICAGO MED, SEAL TEAM, CHICAGO P.D., and More
March 5, 2020 by Marisa Roffman
Let’s talk about Wednesday’s TV!
CHICAGO MED: Holy moly, conning someone for an organ? Yiiiiiikes. I get the non-birth mom ended up being okay with it, but yiiiiiiiiikes.
It’s kind of sad how far apart Natalie and Will are right now…her life was in literal danger and he wasn’t even close to that storyline. (If they’re split for good, I guess it’s a different story, but it definitely does not feel like they’re really over.) But, uh, also, bringing meds to Asher in detox is such a bad idea.
And, hey, it looks like we have a solid answer for who is getting married in the 100th episode.
THE MASKED SINGER: I felt bad for the Taco, but at least it wasn’t as unbelievably lopsided as other eliminations. But, also, it felt like (spoiler alert) Tom Bergeron was so freaking obvious from the start?? Even his singing voice sounded like his speaking voice. I’m actually kind of shocked none of the judges guessed him given several of them have worked with him before!
CHICAGO FIRE: That cat-fisher was messed up. And to do that with a family?! And, hey, Brett’s mother was accidentally helpful in making sure Casey was on the right track. (Also: Brett’s mother is going to be the captain of the Brett/Casey ‘ship, huh?)
Can we agree to never let Boden and Stella go on a crash diet together again? No one needs to be hungry and cranky, please and thank you.
SEAL TEAM: For as absolutely stressful as the return two hours were, this was great in a very different way. I loved that they formatted it around the team trying to piece together what happened, too. The scene with Ray and Jason when they thought Ray was the one who messed up? Their tears broke me. A phenomenal, earned moment. (And, yeah, it made sense the newest member of Bravo Team messed up and as promptly booted, but, man, them cutting off his patch was brutal.)
CHICAGO P.D.: My goodness, that final scene was an absolute gut-punch. Upton compartmentalizing what she went through, and then casually telling Halstead her parents were still together? Ouuuuuuch.
It was a very, very small moment, but I did love that Kim thanked Adam for helping her through their miscarriage. (And his mumbled comment that he was still there for her—after she left—killed me.) And, hey, that’s where the tickets came into play.
