Looking Back at 15 Years of THE OFFICE Coverage

On Thursday, March 24, 2005, NBC’s take on THE OFFICE debuted. The first season was short—just six episodes—but by season 2, it was clear it was one of the very best shows on television.

In honor of the show’s 15th anniversary, we’re looking back at old coverage of the series…

2) The first-ever joint interview with Jenna Fisher and John Krasinski! — “I can’t give the writers enough credit for how incredibly realistic they have been with this storyline,” Krasinski said at the time. “It’s an incredibly difficult thing to balance and they have dealt with it with such care and subtlety it’s been amazing. And I think the reason for seeing more and more of the relationship on screen is that the documentary film crew in the show are now aware of the love interest and therefore paying more attention with the cameras.”

“I’m rooting for them to get together just like everyone else,” Fisher added. “But I try to be patient. I want it to be realistic which means I think it will take awhile.”

Each time he who have a new and different way of spelling “respect.'”

14) Greg Daniels, John Krasinski, and Jenna Fisher on Pam and Jim’s marriage difficulties. — “For the first time in Jim and Pam’s relationship, something is changing in a pretty major way,” Fisher said. “You know, people get laid off or people get new jobs or somebody has to work out of town or you have a surprise baby. There’s all these things that happen in a marriage, curve balls, and so far Jim and Pam haven’t really had one, and this year they do.”
