It was the most unconventional season ever, but AMERICAN IDOL has crowned a new champion.
Before the victor was announced, the show narrowed its field of seven contestants to just five, leaving Francisco Martin, Dillon James, Arthur Gunn, Just Sam, and Jonny West battling for the title. (Fans voted live as the show aired.)
When it came down to the final two, it was Gunn versus Just Sam. The victor? Just Sam!
