Let’s talk about Monday night’s TV!

SONGLAND: Man, I’m bummed this was the season finale. The episode itself was good—Usher was a lot of fun, and his final track (which wasn’t my first choice) was better than I expected with the addition of Tyga. But, man, this show always delights me, and who knows when it will be back?

I’m also intrigued what it will look like when it (hopefully) returns for season 3. EP Audrey Morrissey made a good point that the show is inherently COVID-friendly—the talent can distance, there is no audience, things are safer there than most other shows. But it also feels like if it truly is unsafe to start production back up, this could be interesting to see how people navigate this environment via video conference, etc. What kind of music might be produced this way? No matter what, I just want this show back, please and thank you.
