THE AFTERPARTY: Apple TV+ Orders Murder Mystery from Chris Miller and Phil Lord

Apple has ordered murder mystery THE AFTERPARTY—from executive producers Chris Miller and Phil Lord—straight to series.

According to the streaming platform, THE AFTERPARTY is “a murder-mystery comedy set at a high school reunion afterparty. Each of the eight episodes will feature a retelling of the same night told through a different character’s perspective, each with its own unique visual format and film genre to match the teller’s personality.”

Miller will serve as creator/showrunner of the series, while Lord will executive produce through the pair’s shingle, Lord Miller. The duo were behind the Oscar-winning SPIDERMAN: INTO THE SPIDERVERSE and were executive producers on Fox’s THE LAST MAN ON EARTH (which nabbed them an Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series Emmy nomination in 2015). They currently have a five-year overall deal with Sony Pictures Television.
