SVU Boss Shares First Rehearsal Photo From ORGANIZED CRIME Crossover
December 2, 2020 by Marisa Roffman
The LAW & ORDER: ORGANIZED CRIME launch may have been delayed, but it’s on in 2021…and the first rehearsal of the LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT episode that will launch the new spinoff has officially happened.
SVU showrunner Warren Leight tweeted out a photo with the caption, “Well, we had a pretty good read-thru,” hashtagging #SVU as well as #OC, and returning star Christopher Meloni noticeably among the Zoom faces in the rehearsal shot.

Originally, Meloni’s return to the LAW & ORDER franchise, where he starred on SVU for 12 seasons, was supposed to kick off the season 22 premiere. But when the spinoff got delayed, it got pushed back.
“These days all plans are subject to change,” Leight told a fan on Twitter. “And then they change again. And again. For now, we won’t reintroduce Stabler until the night of his Organized Crime premiere. @SVUWritersRoom has to be NIMBLE this year.”
But, it appears, the spinoff is around the corner…
