SUPERSTORE: America Ferrera to Return for Series Finale

It’s official: America Ferrera is returning for the SUPERSTORE series finale.

Ferrera, whose Amy departed early in season 6, will be back for the one-hour block. And in the first photo from the series finale, “All Sales Final,” Amy is back in her per-managerial days Cloud 9 vest.

What’s still TBA will be how Amy’s ex, Jonah (Ben Feldman), who has just taken tentative steps back into the dating world will take it. When Amy left—after not being ready to move forward with Jonah—co-showrunner Jonathan Green acknowledged at the time “she has some things to answer for [if they reunite.] And it’s not just going to be, ‘Let’s pick up where we left off,’ which we find interesting.”

Feldman, however, thought his character might be willing to welcome his former love back. “He’s not damaged, emotionally, I think,” he said. “Obviously, the work would need to be done. But I think with the right [approach]—the same way we told this this breakup, I don’t think we’re going to tell a story where Amy walks in and goes, ‘Okay, I’m ready now’ and Jonah just drops everything and jumps into a wedding tux. So I’m sure there would be there would be nuance on the other end, too.”
