LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT Exclusive Clip: Carisi Warns Olivia About Potential Trouble for Elliot

The long-awaited LAW & ORDER crossover—which helped launch the franchise’s new series, ORGANIZED CRIME—may have aired, but the fallout from what went down is still very much ongoing.

On the Thursday, April 8 hour of LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT, “Welcome to the Pedo Motel,” the squad is tasked with finding a missing Muslim girl who vanished close to a building that was home to several sex offenders. But when Carisi (Peter Scanavino) comes to visit his former boss mid-investigation, that isn’t all he has on his mind.In the exclusive clip below, Carisi first tells Olivia (Mariska Hargitay) he’s there to reassure the mayor’s office that they’re giving the case the same priority they would to a Christian or Jewish teen. When the captain insists that is the case, Carisi pivots the conversation and asks how her former friend/partner, Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni), is doing.

“I’m worried for him,” Olivia admits.

“I don’t know if it’s the healthiest thing for him to be investigating his own wife’s murder,” Carisi responds.

But Olivia quickly realizes there’s more to Carisi’s concern–and he tells her he’s been asked about what happened in the interrogation room when Elliot questioned a suspect. (In “Return of the Prodigal Son,” Elliot learned there was a suspect in the car bombing that would eventually lead to his wife’s death, and he talked his way into the interview by promising Olivia he’d behave. He snapped, however, when the man made light of Kathy’s potential death, leading to Olivia physically getting between him and the suspect.)

“I will always have your back,” Carisi promises. “Just make sure you’re watching yours, too.”
