ONE CHICAGO, SEAL TEAM, A MILLION LITTLE THINGS

“Limits of Loyalty” – Jason is put on trial with a potential career-ending outcome, without knowing if his closest friend, Ray, has his back. Also, Stella moves in with Clay, and Sonny visits Hannah to help her prepare for the arrival of their baby, on SEAL TEAM, Wednesday, April 7 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Let’s talk about Wednesday night’s TV!

THE GOLDBERGS: Wow. So the episode would have been sad no matter what with Geoff and Erica’s break. But it also being George Segal’s final episode and the tribute…oh, my heart.

CHICAGO MED: Loved seeing James Eckhouse on the show, and his storyline was heartbreaking.

It’s probably for the best Michael is leaving Med, but I do hope we get some meaty non-work stories from Goodwin going forward.

THE MASKED SINGER: Look, we made jokes about Nick Cannon sneaking in as a contestant this season, but woooooooooooooooow. It was clear something was a little wonky with Niecy Nash choosing to unmask someone and the other contestants not being pulled, but…yeah. (Also, Nick did a great job at throwing his singing voice. Not as much his speaking voice, but his singing voice threw me at first.)

HOME ECONOMICS: I found the pilot super charming, which is a really good start for a comedy. A lot of times these kinds of shows take a bit of time to find their voices, but I wanted to spend more time with the family and laughed at the Hanson running gag.

CHICAGO FIRE: CASEY. COME ON. I’m glad Brett found out he wasn’t seeing a doctor and pushed him to do the right thing. I get his fear, but, like, ignoring the situation is dangerous to everyone. (Also, I’m really enjoying Brett and Violet’s new working partnership!)

Also, good for Casey for standing up for himself, because when someone nearly kills their classmates, it isn’t irrational to think they shouldn’t be a firefighter, no matter who their dad is.

(Oh, poor Ritter. I’m glad his awful date led to a sweet reunion with his ex.)

THE CONNERS: Man, Becky broke my heart. Her spiral was hard enough to watch, but then her fight with her family where they finally convinced her to go to rehab? Owwww.  (Also, Jackie is a terrifying liar, because for a second I believed that she found the baby not breathing, and I was like, WOW, dark.)

SEAL TEAM: Ohhh, what mess. (Good mess.) I wasn’t super worried Jason would be convicted given where we were in the season, but I wasn’t sure what toll it would take on him. I’m glad he was able to see his friends—both current and past—had his back, and he was found not guilty. But, oy, who would have thought the celebratory party would turn into such trouble? Naima is absolutely right to be upset about being kept in the dark about what happened to Ray. (Also, poor Davis needs a win, please, show?)

CHICAGO P.D.: Okay, was anyone else a tiny bit worried that Voight was about to ship Upton back to the FBI?

I really did love see Upton having to process a bit of her own lingering trauma and get push back from the team—specifically Voight—as she wanted to just do things to get them done vs. do them the right way. (And, as Tracy Spiridakos pointed out, things wouldn’t have worked out if Upton went about things her way.) A season ago, Intelligence probably would have gone along with her. (And I’m SO glad Upstead is now on the same page.)

A MILLION LITTLE THINGS: Man, I’m going to miss Jamie. He and Maggie were so much fun together, and while I get things changed for them and they were on the verge of starting something…I wish we could have seen it play out.

Boy, I thought that Peter storyline was over. NOPE. Sophie, girl, what are you doing? (Also, uh, does Delilah know Eddie is in rehab? He’s the father of one of her kids…)
