NEW AMSTERDAM Exclusive Clips: Max Proposes the Hospital Change its Name—For a Good Reason

NEW AMSTERDAM’s Max (Ryan Eggold) has had many ambitious plans, but he may have his biggest one yet on the Tuesday, May 4 episode of the NBC drama.
After meeting new patient Jane Munsee (Tantoo Cardinal), Max is forced to contend with the origins of New Amsterdam, and the harm its presence has meant for Native Americans.
“You know what New Amsterdam means to me? Death. Lies. The erasure of my people,” Jane, a Native American patient of Lenape descent, says in the exclusive clip below.
His idea? Change the hospital name to Lenapehoking. Watch his proposition now…
