LAW & ORDER: ORGANIZED CRIME: Ron Cephas Jones and Vinnie Jones Join Season 2
August 3, 2021 by Marisa Roffman
LAW & ORDER: ORGANIZED CRIME has added Ron Cephas Jones and Vinnie Jones to its sophomore year, Give Me My Remote has learned. Both actors will recur on the drama.
Cephas Jones (who will next be seen in TRUTH BE TOLD season 2) will play Congressman Leon Kilbride, who was an unseen key figure in the show’s season 1 finale. (Nick Creegan‘s Richie dropped Kilbride’s name in prison—hinting the politican was dirty—as a way to secure a hit on Dylan McDermott‘s Richard Wheatley.) Kilbride is a “born politician who fosters connections and always plays his cards right.”
ORGANIZED CRIME showrunner Ilene Chaiken previously teased the first season might set up arcs for the show’s sophomore year: “We may see some new possibilities before the end of the season, but we won’t introduce a new major character or organization of organized crime until we begin season 2.”
Jones, whose previous TV credits include GALAVANT and ARROW, will play Albi Briscu, a Eastern European gangster “who is the last remaining member of the organization from the old country.” The actor teased his new role on Instagram, enthusing he had booked a gig on “probably the biggest show in the country.”
The duo join McDermott as the confirmed recurring guest stars for ORGANIZED CRIME season 2.
