About Last Night…THE VOICE, THE BIG LEAP, and THAT’S MY JAM

Let’s talk about Monday night’s TV!

THE VOICE: It’s absolutely awful Wendy’s fall led to multiple broken/fractured bones. It’s intriguing how the Top 10 handled their challenge week—some really embraced being outside of their genre, while others…just brought the song to their style. I’m curious how things shake out.

THE BIG LEAP: Uh, I was not ready for Paula to die, either! Not that I thought there would be a miracle, but holy moly, that was a depressing twist that she died really suddenly before the reality show even wrapped. But Mike getting videos from Paula was beautiful and heartbreaking.

I loved everyone walking when Nick led, essentially, a strike over the proposed cast cut. Plus, Gabby and Monica working together to rework the show’s ending? My heart. I don’t want the show to end next week.

THAT’S MY JAM: This was fun! But, also, the absolute mess of rules makes it a bit of a headache: The correct spelling SHOULD count. The “I Wanna Dance With Somebody That I Used to Know” combo is easy to get “right” if you only spell half of it right. I get the rules probably don’t have to be as strict because it’s not like they’re playing for money, but RULES SHOULD MATTER. (Anyone else reminded of HOLLYWOOD GAME NIGHT with this show, though?)
