LAW & ORDER is officially up and running: Production has started on the upcoming 21st season of the iconic procedural drama.
Wolf Entertainment, the production company of LAW & ORDER creator Dick Wolf, posted the first photos from the set, with returning star Anthony Anderson and franchise newbie Jeffrey Donovan on location in New York.

Anderson originated the role of Detective Kevin Bernard on the mothership from 2008-2010. Donovan will also be playing an NYPD detective on the series.
Though details about the series are being kept quiet, Hugh Dancy is also a part of the cast, although he’s playing an ADA. (The series is being run by FBI boss Rick Eid.)
The original series ran from 1990-2010, when it was canceled unexpectedly…and as it was tied for longest-running primetime drama with GUNSMOKE. (L&O spinoff SVU has since gone on to surpass both.) But Wolf had been vocal about wanting to bring the series back in some form for years.
“There are very few things in life that are literally dreams come true,” Wolf said in a statement when the revival was announced. “This is mine.”
