GREY’S ANATOMY: Scott Speedman Bumped Down to Recurring for Season 19

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Scott Speedman, who joined GREY’S ANATOMY as an unexpected series regular in season 18, has been bumped down to recurring for the upcoming season 19, a rep for the show confirmed.
Speedman’s Nick spent much of last season with Meredith (Ellen Pompeo), though they ended the year on not-great terms. (Pompeo, for her part, will only appear in eight episodes this season.)
This is proving to be a season of change for the long-running medical drama, with the show adding Alexis Floyd as Simone Griffin, Niko Terho as Lucas Adams, Midori Francis as Mika Yasuda, Adelaide Kane as Jules Millin, and Harry Shum Jr. as Daniel “Blue” Kwan. (Outside of Speedman, all other GREY’S ANATOMY regulars are continuing on for season 19.)
