DAISY JONES & THE SIX: Prime Video Sets March Debut, Release First Photos

DAISY JONES & THE SIX, an adaptation of the book by Taylor Jenkins Reid, is coming to Prime Video on Friday, March 3, with new episodes dropping weekly.

According to the streamer, the series is “detailing the rise and precipitous fall of a renowned rock band. In 1977, Daisy Jones & The Six were on top of the world. Fronted by two charismatic lead singers—Daisy Jones (Riley Keough) and Billy Dunne (Sam Claflin)—the band had risen from obscurity to fame. And then, after a sold-out show at Chicago’s Soldier Field, they called it quits. Now, decades later, the band members finally agree to reveal the truth. This is the story of how an iconic band imploded at the height of its powers.”

The cast also includes Camila Morrone as Camila Dunne, Will Harrison as Graham Dunne, Suki Waterhouse as Karen Sirko, Josh Whitehouse as Eddie Roundtree, Sebastian Chacon as Warren Rhodes, Nabiyah Be as Simone Jackson, and Tom Wright as Teddy Price, with a special guest appearance by Timothy Olyphant as Rod Reyes.

The series will also produce original music. “We went to meet [executive producer] Reese Witherspoon and her team to hear the music actually in the setting where Fleetwood Mac recorded, which was so incredible; it’s really pretty much a preserved area deep in the Valley,” Jennifer Salke, Head of Amazon Studios said at TCA back in 2020, when the show was in development. “We sat in there and we listened to the probably seven original songs that are written for the show. And let’s just say there were chills and tears. So we’re really thrilled with it.”
