SWAT: Rochelle Aytes Previews Hondo Meeting Nischelle’s Parents

It’s time for Hondo (Shemar Moore) to meet the parents on the Friday, January 6 episode of SWAT.
“This is going to be a really challenging situation for Nischelle and Hondo,” Rochelle Aytes, who plays Nischelle, tells Give Me My Remote in the video below. “Nischelle knows that her dad is very difficult. Her mom is very opinionated. And she’s super worried about what is going to happen at this dinner.”
The group was set to meet years ago, during Nischelle and Hondo’s first go-round at a relationship. But that didn’t pan out. Now, the couple is back together and expecting their first child and the time has come, whether Nischelle is ready or not.
“I think [Hondo]’s probably a lot like her father,” Aytes acknowledges. “And so it’s become more [a problem] in her forefront now that she’s pregnant. And I think she’s always known, ‘Okay, they do have to meet at some point. When I don’t know.’ Luckily, they’ve been living on the east coast, so I had no choice—they weren’t gonna see each other. But, yeah, this has been brewing in her mind for a long time. And it had to happen.”
