New THE BIG BANG THEORY Series in Development at Max
April 12, 2023 by Marisa Roffman
THE BIG BANG THEORY universe may be expanding.
Max—the streaming platform formerly known as HBO Max—announced they’re in development with Chuck Lorre on a “new comedy series derived from THE BIG BANG THEORY.”
Details about the potential series are being kept under wraps.
If the show moves forward, it would be the second BIG BANG THEORY spinoff—YOUNG SHELDON, a prequel that follows a young Sheldon Cooper, is currently on its sixth season on CBS.
THE BIG BANG THEORY ran for 12 seasons, wrapping up in 2019. The series starred Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco, Simon Helberg, Kunal Nayyar, Mayim Bialik, and Melissa Rauch.
