About Last Night…AMERICAN IDOL, THE SIMPSONS, THE GREAT NORTH, and More

Let’s talk about Sunday night’s TV!
AMERICAN IDOL: Well, there were several underwhelming performances tonight, but it was mostly the right people who went through. (I would have swapped Nutsa for Marybeth based just on Sunday’s performances.)
That being said, Iam and We are still my frontrunners. And Adam Lambert was so much fun as a mentor.
Obviously the results didn’t go the way Lucy Love would have liked, but her kid was adorable post-performance.
THE SIMPSONS: Yep, absolutely believe Marge would get swayed by Big Charity and lose the message along the way. And it’s also entirely like Lisa to reject Mr. Burns’ money, even if it might do good. (She’s certainly done it in the past.)
I am, however, going to have nightmares imagining that blue KFC and what that might taste like/how it got that color.
THE GREAT NORTH: Thanks to TGN co-creator Wendy Molyneux, I Googled the real festival this episode was inspired by, and, well, I have approximately 76 billion questions now. But oh my God, the lengths the characters were willing to go to in order to try and win this? (After being warned to play nice?) Hilarious. Terrifying, too. But also hilarious.
BOB’S BURGERS: Okay, not my very favorite episode. Liked the idea of it, but it didn’t feel like it was enough to actually sustain an entire episode. Alas.
FAMILY GUY: It absolutely tracks that the person Lois thought was her bully was actually just…uh…trying to help her.
Honestly, one of these days Meg is either going to become a billionaire or destroy the world. Everyone underestimates her, but…
