AMERICAN IDOL crowned its season 21 winner on the three-hour season finale on Sunday, May 21.
Megan Danielle, Iam Tongi, and Colin Stough were the final three contestants standing, and all were mentored by/sang songs originally performed by Keith Urban. Via live voting during the show, Danielle and Tongi moved on to be the final 2.
The duo had one last chance to win over voters—by singing their new singles.
After the final round of voting, host Ryan Seacrest announced the winner: Tongi!
