About Last Night…THE EQUALIZER, AMERICAN IDOL, and THE GREAT NORTH
March 4, 2024 by Marisa Roffman
Let’s talk about Sunday night’s TV!
THE EQUALIZER: Oh, man, Mel talking about losing a friend to suicide and being inspired to start a vet support group broke my heart. But, wow, I love that the quad had drinks together to decompress because they all need that safe space. (And, yeah, they have their families, but sometimes you don’t want to dump this kind of stuff on them.)
The new captain not liking Robyn or wanting her around might be trouble…
AMERICAN IDOL: This might be an unpopular opinion—and this may not be the career they want—but those Dasher siblings should have gone on THE VOICE and competed together. Their voices together?! Wow.
This was an episode where it felt like the auditions lasted a long time, though I’m not sure if that’s real or perception. (It’s not like I sit here timing each moment.)
CJ was fascinating, both as a performer and a songwriter. (I also felt the Elton John vibes from the original.) He could be one to watch on the show.
But, uh, it was weird Luke got an IV infusion before an audition and kept it going during an audition. It was an odd moment.
THE GREAT NORTH: Honeybee accidentally starting a war sounds about right. I get it! She was trying to be helpful, but, yeah, it was going to lead to mayhem. And it was hilarious.
