FBI First Look: Tiffany Struggles with Hobbs’ Death in ‘Phantom’

FBI is diving back into Hobbs’ (Roshawn Franklin) unsolved murder on the Tuesday, April 9 episode, “Phantom.”

In the hour, per CBS’ official logline, “After an employee of the U.S. Army is shot in an industrial park, the team works to track down the killer who reveals a larger plot at play. Meanwhile, Tiffany continues to struggle with the guilt surrounding Hobbs’ death.”

In an exclusive first look of “Phantom” (above), Tiffany (Katherine Renee Kane)—who took the lead on the operation where Hobbs was killed—is visibly upset, alone, while standing by an NYPD patrol car.

After Hobbs died in the season 6 premiere, Kane told Give Me My Remote that the loss, and the fact the case remained unsolved, would continue to linger over Tiffany.

“Well, there are always new emergencies and new cases and new perps—the work doesn’t stop for them,” she said at the time. “But I think that’s not going to be something that she lays down very easily…we’ve seen her in the past continue to follow the lead, to continue to dig at a problem in whatever way she can. So I hope to continue to see her pull at this when it’s appropriate, obviously. We have to give our full attention to what’s at hand; we can’t slight anyone for our own personal or emotional grudges or anything like that. But I don’t think any of the team is able to really forget that this guy is still at large, let alone her.”
