CHICAGO MED Adds Sarah Ramos and Darren Barnet as New Series Regulars

CHICAGO MED is expanding its cast.

Sarah Ramos will play Dr. Caitlin Lenox and Darren Barnet will play Dr. John Frost in season 10 of the NBC drama, Give Me My Remote has learned. Both will be series regulars.

Prior to production starting, MED star Jessy Schram, who plays Hannah Asher, told GMMR the upcoming season would “have some new characters coming in.”

“Just like a real hospital, there is a revolving door, and there’s new people and different dynamic shifts all the time,” she said at the time. “And I think that they’re going to stir up a lot of new relationships within the ED.”

Off-screen, Allen MacDonald stepped in as the series’ new boss following the exit of longtime showrunners Andrew Schneider and Diane Frolov. Additionally, Dominic Rains (who played Dr. Crockett Marcel) will not be returning as a series regular. Season 10 of the medical drama also stars S. Epatha Merkerson, Oliver Platt, Marlyne Barrett, Steven Weber, Schram, and Luke Mitchell.

Ramos is arguably best known to television fans for her role on PARENTHOOD. She’s also appeared in AMERICAN DREAMS, MIDNIGHT, TEXAS, THE BEAR, and WINNING TIME: THE RISE OF THE LAKERS DYNASTY. (She also guest starred on a 2007 episode of LAW & ORDER.)

Barnet is best known for NEVER HAVE I EVER. He’s also worked on BLUE EYE SAMURAI, JURASSIC WORLD: CHAOS THEORY, and AGENTS OF SHIELD.
