Tru Valentino Reacts to His THE ROOKIE Exit: ‘I Will Always Cherish My Time…But Couldn’t Be More Excited for What the Future Has in Store’

THE ROOKIE vet Tru Valentino wrote a note to fans on Instagram addressing his exit from the ABC procedural.

“I will always cherish my time on THE ROOKIE but couldn’t be more excited for what the future has in store,” he wrote on Instastory, paired with song “Chiisanatenohira.” “I adore the friends and relationships made while being there. It was such an amazing opportunity and feel so lucky to have had the last 3 seasons. Thank you to the best fans in the world, I know I don’t talk much, but I appreciate you all so much. You never know who may pop back up in the mid-Wilshire precinct. Until then, 7 Adam 19, this is Officer Thorsen, over and out!”

Earlier this year, Valentino told Give Me My Remote he was blown away by the fanbase the series had. “The reach that the show has is just crazy,” he said at the time. “Like, it’s global. There’s so many people from other countries that are constantly messaging me, and just talking about how much they love the show…it’s really cool.”

A source confirmed that, as of now, the season 6 finale—which aired in May—will be the actor’s final appearance on the show.
