LAW & ORDER: Mekhi Phifer to Guest Star

Mekhi Phifer will guest star on an upcoming episode of LAW & ORDER, sources have confirmed to Give Me My Remote.

Phifer, whose varied career includes recent roles in TRUTH BE TOLD, CHICAGO P.D., FREQUENCY, HOUSE OF LIES, and LOVE, VICTOR, is probably best known for playing Gregory Pratt on ER from 2002-2008. Notably, Phifer’s ER co-star Maura Tierney is now a star on LAW & ORDER, though it’s unknown whether the duo will share any scenes during his guest spot.

LAW & ORDER star Mehcad Brooks, who plays Detective Shaw, first alluded to the news on Instagram, posting a photo of himself with Phifer and other men, including frequent Wolf Entertainment collaborator/occasional LAW & ORDER director Eriq La Salle (who also starred on ER) and Michael Beach (who is returning to L&O as a defense attorney, a role he played twice in season 21).

This isn’t the only quasi-reunion happening on LAW & ORDER: The NBC series is also staging a mini-SCANDAL reunion with Katie Lowes set to guest star in an upcoming episode. (Lowes starred opposite L&O star Tony Goldwyn on the ABC drama.)
