FRINGE: Should Peter Pick Olivia or Fauxlivia? Anna Torv Weighs In

After the events from “Concentrate and Ask Again,” viewers now know that the fate of the universes depends on whatever version of Olivia wins Peter’s heart. If he chooses our Olivia, Fauxlivia and Over There apparently will be destroyed. If he goes back to Fauxlivia, the universe and the characters that we spent the better part of three seasons with will go away. No pressure at all there, Peter.

Of course, as of now, the only characters that are aware of Peter’s upcoming choice are Sam and Nina. And while fans have their own opinions on which woman Peter should end up with, I caught up with FRINGE star Anna Torv (Olivia/Fauxlivia) at the Writers Guild Awards and got her to weigh in on the debate.

According to Torv, the issue might not be as black-and-white as we might think…

Anyone else a little fearful that things aren’t looking so great for our Olivia…and our universe?

    I really hope the fauxlivia-pregnancy story doesn’t happen. Am I reading too much into it and leaning towards my hopes with the fact that Anna doesn’t hesitate at all when it was suggested that fauxlivia may have a bun in the oven?

    In terms of what Sam Weiss said, I really want to believe there’s more than what he lets on, he might have just said what he said so that Nina will act in a certain way.
    Either way does that mean Nina will now play matchmaker? 😀

    I’m originally from Germany and we have a saying there. It doesn’t quite translate well but maybe it gets the point across. It goes like this: First, it come different, second, than you think.
    Most of the time we watch a sneak peak or preview, most of the time we hear an interview we are told one way but then it actually never happens. In the previews or pictures for CAAA we saw a soldier pointing a gun at Peter. I’ve watched the episode 3 or 4 times now and have not found that scene.
    I’m curious to find out what’s going to happen and will trust the writers to deliver the best, as always. Fringe rules and I want it to be Friday every day.

    This is off topic, but I just read Fringe is in real danger of cancellation. I thought the numbers and critics were keeping it safe? I never read or comment on Fringe articles because I love it so much that I’d rather savor it then read up on additional information much later. And I never even peek at Fringe spoiler headlines. So I’m completely lost in the fandom. Is there some petition doing the rounds?

    I-ll die if that …. it’s pregnant.. please noooo!!1 Don’t let that happen!! I hate Fauxlivia!! hahaha please Olivia win Peter’s heart!!

    Peter better pick someone by the end of this sesaon – with only 3.7 million watching on Friday’s now, I think this may be the end for the show. Otherwise, no one will be picked – and both univierses will go on forever. Perhaps that will the ending chosen.

    The few posts on this weblink, compared to say, CASTLE, or even fading, BONES, says it all – there are too few watching this show. So they can make a decision this year and get rid of one universe, or they both will live on forever being saved by cancelation. Pretty smple really.

    OFCOURSE PETER SHOULD CHOOSE OLIVIA! the real olivia! the fake one’s disggusting. she did not take her job professionally and totally forgot about her dude in the parallel universe. olivia has suffered enough and ssshe is the one whom peter truly loves. peter was just fooled by the fake olivia. tsk. desperada.

    i think he should pick the real olivia, he had feelings for her first. please don’t cancel this show, i love this show
