THE BACHELOR: Did Brad Feel Pressure to Pick Someone?

On tonight’s THE BACHELOR season finale, Brad Womack has narrowed it down to the final two women: Emily and Chantal.

As of late, it’s seemed increasingly obvious that his heart is with Emily, but we’ll have to watch the show to see how it shakes out. When I talked with Brad in January — about two months after he made his final decision — he did appear to be completely smitten with the woman he chose.

However, given the intense scrutiny over the way he ended his last stint on THE BACHELOR — where he dumped both women — was there additional pressure on him to pick someone this time and to make the relationship work?

“No,” he said firmly. “I give you my word, that is something I’ll never feel pressured to do. I didn’t feel pressure to fall for anyone, to make a relationship work, nothing like that. Those things are way too important to me to feel pressured to do anything. Thank God it did work out. I don’t feel pressure, I just want this relationship to work.  If it doesn’t work out, that’s real life to me. But I feel like we have a good chance of making it work.”

While Brad wouldn’t say if he was engaged, he did say he was “very much in love” with a woman from the show. “On the very last day, I was 100% confident about my decision,” he teased.

And what about those promos that seemed to imply Brad might be getting rejected?

“I don’t like those promos!” he said. “I’m saying what I’m allowed to say and that’s [that] I am in love. Those damn editors! I’ve seen the promos. They’re interesting on so many levels.”
