Rashida Jones & Craig Bierko in New Fox Pilot

February 8, 2007 by

Craig Bierko and Rashida Jones

Craig Bierko, who has a reoccurring role on Boston Legal (but who will forever be Carrie’s jazz playing boyfriend on SATC) has been cast as the lead in Fox’s comedy “The Rules of Starting Over,” playing a thirty something newly single man among a group of recently divorced friends.

The Office’s Rashida Jones also has been cast in the pilot, playing a partner at a law firm looking for a decent guy.

Um, yeah…Rashida Jones in a new show? You know what this means?! Karen is on her way out!! Much love to Rashida.Β  Once a Dunder Mifflinite, always a Dunder Mifflinite so we will be pulling for you. But I can’t help but be a little excited about Jim and Karen’s split. I’m selfish.

Hee! This is exciting. Bu-bye, Karen! But, much love, Rashida-hope the show does well.

I was wondering when something like this would pop up. We all know that Ed Helms was picked up, but there was no word on RJ. And even though Craig Bierko is supposedly a bit of an ass, I love him–something about a guy who isn’t afraid to dress in a band uniform 8 shows a week . . .

Yes, this is exciting news. Like you said, I like Rashida. But I am all for not having Karen around for Jim, so YAY!

I can’t help but be sad. I am, and always have been, all about Jim and Pam 4eva, but I have gotten so attached to Karen. Despite all my efforts not to do so. I felt strangely delighted by her Jim face in Gay Witch Hunt, and when \m/CALLOFDUTY!\m/ rolled around, I was done. Karen was my new best buddy.

Still, if there was no way that I could beg and plead with the powers that be to let her stay, I’m happy that Rashida has found her next thing to work on. After reading so many comments in interviews with her about how it was difficult to find work because she didn’t have a standard “look,” I’m happy that there are more shows out there who appreciate people who don’t fit into a stereotypical genetic model.

    But Kaaaaaaaaaaaaren. πŸ™

I really had started to like Rashida on the show (though not with Jim of course), but I guess there wouldn’t really be a good way for her to stay once she and Jim break-up (which I am so glad is a definite now πŸ˜‰ ). Not sure if I’ll watch her new show, but I wish her the best of luck… now when are we going to see some more JAM action? I cannot wait to see what develops tonight!

Yeah for Rashida and yeah for me (us)! πŸ™‚

I hope that Rashida’s show does well. I will sorta miss Karen on The Office, but I am excited for Jim and Pam’s future!

Ok, Kath-it’s time for ‘Office Thursday’ already! It makes my Thursday a.m. a happy time.

Wow I really hope it works out for Rashida, she’s a doll. I really like her it’s just… well, you know, a Halpert thing. And Craig Bierko…yum. She lucks out with the leading men doesn’t she? Hey …maybe this is a bit of a Boston Legal spoiler. Can we rule Jeffery out as the father of Denise’s baby? ” Next week on Boston Legal… dum dum dum duuuuuuum….”

Oh, HELL yes! Much love and respect to Rashida. She’s done a great job and she will be missed. But not by me. πŸ™‚

    Signed,
    Team Pam

    Arrivederci, Fillipelli!

I don’t have anything personal against her, but I sure am glad she’s leaving the show. We don’t know for sure though…she might still be on The Office. If I had a dollar to throw in the penny wish fountain though….I’d wish her off. LOL
