FRINGE Renewed For Season 4
March 24, 2011 by Marisa Roffman
Best. Day. Ever.
FRINGE executive producer J.H. Wyman just tweeted, “Fringe was picked up!!!! Thanks Fringedom!” Fox has confirmed that the series has been renewed for a 22-episode fourth season.
The show has struggled in the ratings, but Wyman and fellow executive producer Jeff Pinkner remained confident in FRINGE, saying fans shouldn’t be concerned about the ratings. Anyone else incredibly glad they were proven right?
I think this calls for some Walter-inspired partying. Who wants a strawberry milkshake and some licorice? While you snack, let’s celebrate in the comments!

Thank you, thank you to Marisa for getting my husband and I hooked on this awesome show. Can you also ask them if they plan to leave it on Fridays….not that I care at all – I’d watch it live Monday at 2 a.m. if necessary. In the end, I have a lot of respect for Fox standing by this quality, intelligent, intricate show.
BEST DAY EVER. Epic win for quality TV!
WHAT IS AIR!!!!!!
I’m so very excited by this (as you well know)!!!
Best. Week. Ever.
Fantastic news – and very unexpected this early in the renewal process. I figured we would be left hanging until May… and even then get bad news.
I commend Fox for its faith in the show and its appreciation of good shows.
@Amy: So glad you love it!!!!
As for when it will air, I’m guessing that won’t be decided for sure until May. But for now, I’d expect for it to remain on Fridays. Unless something majorly changes, I’d be surprised if it moves off Friday for the duration of the series.
Yes!!!
I don’t understand the ratings or business decisions that went into the renewal, but I am one happy fan.
I’m hoping for more interaction or collision between the worlds next season. Can we have that without going into an all-out war?
Woo hoo! My Nielsen diary for sweeps must have turned the tide. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. 😉
Such AWESOME news!!!
Strawberry flavoured death (a.k.a. Pop Tarts) for everyone! This is great news, I’m so excited!!
HaHa, a Fringe friend and I are seriously making baconberry frosting on Saturday while watching some season 2 and the re-run of Bloodline.
Keep watching Fringies and let’s show that this was the best decision. Can’t wait for Friday.
Marisa you just made my day!
Thanks for keeping us updated 🙂
PROOF THERE IS A GOD!!!!!!!!
AMAZING!
Fantastic news! I did not see this coming. Thank you Fox, great choice!
