TWO AND A HALF MEN: Will You Be Tuning In Tonight?

Despite TWO AND A HALF MEN being a ratings powerhouse, in its entire eight year run thus far, I’ve maybe watched 5 minutes of the series — and that was only in syndication as I was waiting for another show to start.
And yet…I’m planning on tuning in to the ninth season premiere tonight.
It’s bizarre and goes against my every instinct, but I find myself fascinated to see how the show will deal with the aftermath of the Charlie Sheen meltdown (and no, I’m not talking about what they do with his character, since that cat is pretty much out of the bag) and to see how Ashton Kutcher does returning to his sitcom roots.
Will I stick around? Unless the show absolutely wows me, I doubt it, if only because of how crazy that time slot is. But I will be tuning in tonight.

I never thought I’d live to see the day! A man’s body used the way women’s bodies have always been used? Naked!!! But but for a very different reason: They know they got nothin’ else! Women’s bodies are used to turn men on. Ashton Kutcher’s naked body was used because there’s no other reason to turn on “Two And A Half Men,” without Charlie Sheen. Charlie Sheen may be a comic stip turned tragic; but the guy was perfection in that part: As were Conchata Farrell, Angus T. Jones, & Holland Taylor, those flawless scripts, & brilliant direction. Nobody was bad; but the aforementioned were in a class by themselves, as was the show. Ya don’t need naked when ya got the best. Too bad Sheen didn’t know he had the best in his life; too bad his producer didn’t know he had the best on set. Now, he just has “Best Undressed.” Nudity’s not what made “2 1/2” the best: Talent did. Tons of Talent, before & behind the camera. I will not be watching “Nude & 1/2 Men”: It’s an insult to “Two And A Half Men.” I’ll stick to re-runs of the smart, sexy original. Thank everyone for all those years.
