Oh Josh, you poor kid. Forced to be a sacrifice to your sociopathic grandfather in order to prevent World War 3 with Russia (which, conveniently, they will not launch for two more hours, which – wouldn’t you know it! – happens to be how much time is left in the season). At least the kid has spunk, though, and actually managed to kick evil Cheng in the face and escape his clutches (man, that moment was awesome). Here’s hoping the kid has enough spunk to escape Daddy Bauer once the U.S. delivers him to his dear old evil grandpa in exchange for the Russian nuclear component. I know you’re scared, kid, and hate your psychotic grandfather, but seriously: you’ll be fine, especially compared to the possible World War 3 and millions of lives lost that will ensue if you don’t go. Of course, it would be nice if someone (*cough* Doyle *cough*) had the decency to explain that to Josh before abducting him again. Oh well.
In other news, Nadia sure is having a rough 24 hours. First Homeland Security limits her security clearance on the CTU database, then she gets tortured by Doyle, then Milo kisses her in front of everyone at CTU, then Milo gives her many jealous glares because of her sudden budding closeness with her former torturer (i.e. Doyle), then she’s forced to take charge of CTU, then she doesn’t do a good job and gets browbeaten by many guys (like Doyle and Jack), then a bunch of freaking Chinese terrorists attack CTU and take everyone hostage, then Milo sacrifices himself for her (so now she has to deal with that guilt), and THEN…. (*breath*) together with Jack and Morris (?!) she manages to kick terrorist butt with just her bare hands and successfully defeat the bad guys… and now those jerks from Division (because Division only has jerks) are blaming the Chinese CTU attack all on her?! SHEESH. Give the girl a freaking break!!!
Ehem. Anyhoo, if anything good came out of all of that insanity, it was the nice little moment where Morris gave Nadia a pep talk and comforted her. And this from a guy who’s dumping Chloe because he knows that she knows that he’s a coward? Sure. Here’s hoping he also comes to his senses about the aforementioned stupid matter, and un-breaks Chloe’s heart. Speaking of Chloe… I miss her. She’s barely on the show anymore. Here’s hoping they don’t suddenly kill her off for pointless shock value.
Speaking of characters who have been largely missing from the show this season, it was nice to actually see more of Jack this episode – especially Jack in action! Loved the little slide and shoot move he did on the Chinese terrorists. Here’s hoping we get much more Jack and much less White House drama in the final two episodes. And speaking of…
Ugh. What else can I say about that plot line except that I don’t like it and I want it to be over – especially since the Lisa spying subplot ended up being a completely pointless waste of time. I mean, I like Karen, and I now actually like Tom Lennox (who remained eerily focused on his job while watching and listening to Lisa have sex), but man… do NOT care about Daniels. When Tom got that weird phone call at the end of the episode, I was SOOO hoping that it was Logan, back from his flat-lined grave, calling to give Daniels advice and just basically take over. Sigh. I gotta say… I’m really looking forward to this season ending – and not because I’m excited. So here’s hoping we get less Daniels and more Jack and Chloe in the final two hours. Hear that 24 producers? Start re-editing the finale now…

Great (and hilarious) recap. I had forgotten Nadia had been through that much. I started to run out of oxygen just reading it. It is a shame that poor Chloe has been mostly in the background this season. She was better, and funnier, without Morris around. But it was good to see Morris come through in the clutch. And Jack, what can one say? As always, awesome.
Great recap, LaLa. I really loved seeing Jack in action! I got real tired of him being stuck in that room and not doing what Bauer does best: kicking ass!
When Josh was running w/ Cheng from Jack, i kept thinking, Boy, why don’t you trip and fall or slow them down?! Why are you running your ass off away from Jack?! I mean, you know that the Chinese aren’t going to kill you–they need you, fool! But then i had to eat my words b/c Josh kicked Cheng in the face (surprising!), so yay! Now, why Jack didn’t shoot Cheng in the leg or something is beyond me. I could be a 24 writer b/c i saw Cheng’s escape coming a mile away. Sigh. Oh, and how awesome was it to see Morris kicking one of the Chinese terrorist’s ass!
Anyway, i have really enjoyed this season but i, like you, am tired of the White House drama. However, watching Tom and the other guys sitting in that van cracked me up! Especially when Tom was like, “Now that that’s finally over…” So great =P Well, i’m looking forward to the finale. My wish? More Jack action (that should be easy to accomplish), more Doyle (b/c i really like him now), more Morris kicking ass (ok, so maybe that won’t happen again…), more Chloe (i agree w/ you), less hating on Nadia (give those Division guys some lip!), and no more Marilyn (doubt it).
I conceive you might have mentioned some really intriguing details , appreciate it for the post.
