Make Your Case: Blake vs. Jordin

AMERICAN IDOL is down to the final two. Just Blake Lewis and Jordin Sparks have survived. So who is going to take this year’s crown? Will it be Blake and his beat boxxing ways or the powerhouse young Ms. Sparks. Honestly, I think both are extremely talented in their own way and I will not be disappointed no matter who the winner is. But I know some of you are a little more passionate than I am, and I want to hear from YOU!!
Here’s your chance to make your case for why your favorite Idol should be THE IDOL!! Come on Blake and Jordin fans, convince us why your favorite should win in it all. Leave your impassioned speech in the comments below.

I think Blake’s proven he’s got the vocal chops, the stage presence and the creativity. He’s given the most current and contemporary performances that make even classics sound like something out of the Top 40. Blake’s stayed true to his style while trying to incorporate whatever the show’s theme throws at him. I think he’s a worthy contender in the finale and I’d be elated to see him win!
JORDIN ALL THE WAY!
Jordin has it all. She is marketable, entertaining, beautiful, talented and has a great sense of humor and personality! All that and shes only 17 years old! How amazing is that???
Jordin has proven time and again that SHE CAN SING!!!! She has an incredible talent. But I think the biggest thing is her personality coming out. I think thats why Melinda didnt make it farther. While they are both good singers, Melinda really didnt have much outward personality. Jordin definately has it!
Come on America!!! Vote Jordin!!!!!
I think Jordin should win so that Blake can be free to do whatever album he wants to do. 🙂 I will buy Blake’s album, I won’t buy Jordin’s even though everything Annie said is 100% true.
I love Jordin, and she is from Arizona (like me), but when I think American Idol I think Blake, he’s cute, he’s a good singer, great personality on stage, and most importantly he’s entertaining! I was so bored watching Medlinda, she’s a great singer but I got bored watching her, maybe if I turned off the picture and just listened I would have liked her more. I kinda feel the same way about Jordin. I guess it really doesn’t matter who wins they would both do great winning AI and getting all the help they can give them and they would both do great on their own, doing their own thing, but I think with Jordin on her own she would need a lot of help learning how to be more entertaining and not just a great singer.
I’ll be voting for Blake next week. Jordin can be an actress at times and that annoys me. I want the next AI winner to be himself/herself and that is Blake all the way.
While both are very talented (although I still am in shock that Melinda was voted off….) I personally would love to see Blake win American Idol. Jordin has an incredible voice, and its awesome to see someone so young make it this far, but I just feel like Blake not only has a great voice, but he brings his unique and original style to everything he does, and never has there been a time where he hasn’t entertained me.
Some may disagree, but if this show really were a ‘singing competition’ I feel Melinda would have won hands down. I think with the two left its a competition of whose the most original and entertaining, and I think that’s Blake. But either way they’re both going to get albums and I think they can both produce best-sellers.

(kidding, of course, but I really wanted my girl Doolittle to win – I was really upset last Wednesday night.)
So without Melinda, it’s Jordin then. GO SPARKS!
My vote is for Blake, as I think he is far more original and multi-talented compared to Jordin.
Granted, Jordin can be molded into someone the record co. wants her to be, but I really don’t think she’ll hit it big. Plus, she doesn’t have the chops to do anything but power ballads. A few of Blake’s performances could be released as singles tomorrow and they would be hits. And even though he’s not the best singer (that would be Melinda, hello!) at least he puts so much more into his music, whereas Jordin doesn’t have too much range and sounds the same all the time…I dont’ hear anything in between….not too mention, I can’t stand her “goat-like” vibrato.
So, for me – it’s Blake!
I think Blake is a breath of fresh air. In the vein of Taylor Hicks, he’s had the guts to do something different. And he’s been successful. I personally have not voted this entire season, but I will be voting my tail off tonight, for BLAKE! Melinda’s voice was fantastic, and Jordin’s done some good stuff, but I don’t necessarily want to buy their album. I’d love to hear anything Blake would collaborate on. I hope he sings a Keane song tonight, like he did in the beginning. To me, he looks the part of an idol, has the personality and can serve as a role model (as could Jordin) for young kids. His smile is genuine and he just seems like a good egg.
