FRINGE Casts Georgina Haig in a Top-Secret Role
March 8, 2012 by Marisa Roffman
A new detail about the notoriously hush-hush episode 19 of FRINGE has been revealed!
Give Me My Remote has confirmed that Australian actress Georgina Haig has been cast as Etta in the mysterious hour. TVLine was first to announce the news.
As of now, all that seems to be clear about her character is that she works with the character Henry Ian Cusick portrays in the same episode. (Cusick’s character is even more top-secret…no word on even his name yet.)
While the show has played with genres in the past for this particular hour (animation in one, musical noir in another), when I spoke with FRINGE executive producers recently, all J.H. Wyman would tease was, “Usually spot 19 is reserved for something that’s a little off the beaten path, that thematically will represent what we’re doing. What sort of speaks to the thematic elements that we’re involved in and the characters are involved in. It will be entertaining for the viewer to say, oh, it’s a little respite from our regular storytelling that goes off into an area that will teach you something new, but isn’t necessarily in the narrative we’ve been following. And I think we can say that this year will be no different.”
What do you guys think of the casting?

Etta is a lot like Ella, and if you look at her FACE (that is NOT the haircolor, which is the ONLY thing she has in common with Anna)
you will see that she looks far more like niece Ella as the one they had in The day we died. That one only had the haircolor in common, this one has the eyesetting and color and mouth far better.
So I imagine Etta wants to be like aunt Liv, and decided to be blonde and tough.
Whenever I read some comments on forums , mostly regarding renewal, Fringe fans always say that the viewer does not want to think.
See the Fringe fans on twitter and tumblr:
Fringe is Olivia having babies of Peter, and off course this actress is now going to replace her as Olivia. (why not Peter)
Actually instignated by someone on Flickr who took pictures, because you know Anna Torv is a beautiful 32 , and looks about 25 in her own casual clothes, and is the best actress on tv.
And 4.19 is a 19, so something like 2026 in the day we died, but with a different train of events.
I read some info, will not tell here, as they will be spoilers.
I actually had a great idea for 4.19 after knowing Jackson was busy elsewhere, since i am to late I put it here?
Anna Torv has been so great in being Nick Lane and William Bell, the showrunners seem to have so much with David Bowie, David Robert Jones, him playing Newton, and with a bit of make up, what about Anna switching between a young David Bowie and Olivia Dunham?
She will be better at it then Cate Blanchett (another one who dos NOT look like Anna ) as Bob Dylan, and will give the scifi back instead of the current soap.
And Bowie was the chameleon, fitting both Olivia Dunham and the genius Anna Torv.
You see I gave up on Olivia Dunham being a character, I think we will learn pretty soon that it is not for nothing that she already has been the following persons more or less”
Olivia, Fauxlivia, Amberlivia, the OliviaPeterwantsOlivia, Fauxlivia2, Nick Lane, a bit John Scott, William Bell, so why not my idea, or as Peter.
David Robert Jones will probaly be her father, natural or creator,.
And I am certain that Anna Torv would love to play anything except the whiney, needy 3.11-3.16 Olivia she now has to play to please Peter.
A new Fringe ask about 4.19 now on you tube:
Easy to see who the real Actors are.
And I love the way the beautiful Anna Torv is totally into the idea of doing a live show of Fringe.
I would love to see one as well, so does clearly Anna, and also John, Jasika and Seth, Hmm wonder why the odd one out does not.
