UGLY BETTY the Reality Show?

They say nothing new under the sun, right? According to Radar Online, VH1 is developing a new reality show, AMERICA THE UGLY, based on the hit ABC dramedy UGLY BETTY. The premise is haunting and has disaster written all over it. Unattractive women will be thrown into the beauty-obsessed fashion world and will be mocked and ridiculed until all the shallow people around them learn that just because you are ugly you are still a human being. Of course until the ugly duckling is accepted she will be severely mocked and ridiculed. That’s what I call good family TV. And since when is it up to VH1 to decide what ugly is? Maybe the producers of this show should look in the mirror during casting.
