The Cast of SUBURGATORY Previews Valentine’s Day in Chatswin

On tonight’s brand new episode of SUBURGATORY, Dallas and George’s first Valentine’s Day together goes awry when her attempt to freshen up for the big day goes off the rails.

“She’s…a little insecure because George is a little younger, so she gets some facial work that goes bad,” Jeremy Sisto (George) told reporters earlier this week. “So she disappears and ditches me on Valentine’s Day. So I get drunk at the restaurant.”

And while the botched procedure renders Cheryl Hines (Dallas) virtually unrecognizable, the show chose to have her wear prostheses, versus changing her face in post-production.

“That was all me,” Hines said of her new look. “When we read the table read, I don’t think they were going to show my face, but they wanted to see an outline or a silhouette. So they made the prosthetic and it looked so great, [the thought was] we should really let the audience see that.”

Viewers might be alarmed when Dallas’ new face is ultimately revealed, and even Sisto was a little surprised by how the final result came out.

“In real life, it seemed more subtle,” he noted. “On the show, I was like, ‘Whoa!’ I don’t know why it seemed subtle; maybe because I was hanging out with her all day, so I got used to it.”

Things aren’t going that well for another couple in Chatswin, either.

“We go see this movie that [Tessa]’s excited about and I don’t want to see it because it’s Valentine’s Day, and I don’t like these independent…films,” Parker Young (Ryan) teased about the new lovebirds’ special plans. “And we’re sitting there and her dialogue in the voice over is, ‘This is so boring, I feel so bad for Ryan’ and she looks at me and I’m almost in tears because I love it so much. And I’m really hurt she doesn’t like it. We have to once again learn to fully accept the other person.”

Also something to look out for? A guest spot in tonight’s episode by TOP CHEF winner Michael Voltaggio.

“Usually when I’ve done these things — and I’ve done a couple [of television shows] — usually I play myself,” Voltaggio said. “So this is the first time I read somebody else’s name in the script. So for me, it was like, ‘Wait a second — now I actually have to act for real because not only am I not playing Michael, but I’m playing somebody named Chef Julio. So I need to figure out how to do that.’ But it was a lot of fun.”
