COUGAR TOWN: Brian Van Holt Previews the Flashback Episode

For four seasons, COUGAR TOWN viewers have witnessed the epic bromance between Andy and Bobby, and in tonight’s brand new episode, “Flirting with Time,” we’ll get to see their first meeting…ever.

“There’s a flashback and his character literally falls into my arms and it’s love at first sight,” Brian Van Holt (Bobby) told me about his character’s “meet-cute” with his (platonic) soul mate, Andy.

But they aren’t the only characters getting the flashback treatment — fans will get to see how all of the characters met for the first time, and some of them were drastically different back in the day.

“I love Courteney [Cox (Jules)]’s character,” Van Holt said. “I wish [Jules of the present day] was more like her character back in the flashback. Those characters are so much fun to play. That’s why I love to play Bobby — you get to play a complete idiot and get paid for it. The flashback is great. I loved getting to wear my mullet and be over the top. It’s fun to be over the top.”
