May 9, 2013 by Marisa Roffman
The CW was first to pick up a series for the 2013-2014 season (THE ORIGINALS), and now they’ve added to their slate: Deadline is reporting that the network has opted to pick up THE TOMORROW PEOPLE, THE 100, REIGN, and OXYGEN.
THE 100 is set 97 years after a nuclear war has destroyed the world as we know it, and a spaceship sends 100 delinquents back to Earth to see if it can be salvaged. The series stars Henry Ian Cusick, Kelly Hu, Isaiah Washington and Paige Turco.
THE TOMORROW PEOPLE (based on the UK series) centers on young people from around the world who have special powers. It stars Robbie Amell, Peyton List, and Mark Pellegrino.
REIGN tells the story of Mary Queen of Scots’ rise to power. It stars Adelaide Kane, Toby Regbo, Torrance Combs, and Celina Sinden.
OXYGEN follows the romance of a human girl and an alien boy. It stars Aimee Teegarden, Matt Lanter, Malese Jow, and Maggie Elizabeth Jones. (Update: OXYGEN is now being called STAR-CROSSED.)
