Fox Boss Kevin Reilly Talks Giving NEW GIRL the Post-Super Bowl Slot

Fox is giving NEW GIRL a big vote of confidence: the Zooey Deschanel-led comedy will get the coveted post-Super Bowl slot in 2014.

“I think that show still has a lot of growth ahead of it,” Kevin Reilly, Chairman, Fox Broadcasting Company told reporters on a conference call this morning. “Comedy can go on for a long time. Love the show; particularly the second half of this season was really on fire. It’s a way to program our [Tuesday] night [comedy block]: give NEW GIRL a boost and give one of our new shows additional sampling, or a shot in the arm.”
