AMERICAN HORROR STORY: COVEN: Ryan Murphy Teases Tonight’s Very Important Episode
October 23, 2013 by Marisa Roffman
AMERICAN HORROR STORY: COVEN has gotten off to an insane start thus far, but for co-creator, Ryan Murphy, the best is yet to come.
“There’s a lot of great Jessica Lange (Fiona)-Emma Roberts (Madison) scenes [in tonight’s episode, ‘The Replacements’] that I love,” he told reporters when asked about his favorite hour of AHS’ third installment so far. “There’s some amazing, hilarious Kathy [Bates (Madame LaLaurie) scenes] — I love when Kathy Bates is funny. There’s some really funny Kathy Bates stuff.”
That’s not to say the episode is all fun and games.
“But it’s very poignant,” Murphy continued. “And what Jessica does in that episode — she has an amazing, huge, three minute speech in the very last scene — is what the whole season is about and propels it.”
AMERICAN HORROR STORY: COVEN airs Wednesdays at 10 PM on FX.
