About Last Night…ONCE UPON A TIME IN WONDERLAND, THE BIG BANG THEORY, SCANDAL, and More

A relatively light television night for me — I’ve found myself watching the non-PARKS AND REC NBC comedies On Demand and I missed TVD last night — but there are still some fun things to talk about…

ONCE UPON A TIME IN WONDERLAND: The Red Queen/Knave twist would have been a fairly large surprise…if her voice hadn’t been so, so, so, so distinctive in the first scene where they very purposely hid her face. I do like the wrinkle it adds to the good vs. bad dynamic, though.

THE BIG BANG THEORY: This episode was so romantic, it could have easily doubled as a Valentine’s Day installment. Howard’s song for Bernadette? One of the best things I’ve seen on TV in a while. How absolutely perfect.

THE MILLERS: The serious moments of last night’s episode worked best for me: the show’s premise is funny, in theory, for sure, but having to start over also does lend itself to serious moments of self-reflection, etc. I appreciated they touched on Nate not wanting to let his mother down, and her admitting she respected him for getting out of a marriage that simply wasn’t working.

THE CRAZY ONES: Oh man, I did not need to hear about those sex faces/noises. Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. But a good episode, and it was nice to see Andrew get a backbone

SCANDAL: Given two shows touched on the Anthony Weiner scandal this week, I really loved the twist SCANDAL put on it. Melora Hardin was great at both playing the scorned wife and a not-at-all-remorseful killer. And we only barely got a glimpse of Lisa Kudrow, but I can’t wait to see more of her next week. (Also, can we just discuss how great Bellamy Young is? Mellie’s shock and seeming guttural pain when Fitz showed her a genuine moment of kindness broke my heart.)
