Report: Amazon Picks Up THE AFTER, BOSCH, MOZART IN THE JUNGLE, and TRANSPARENT
March 11, 2014 by Marisa Roffman
Amazon debuted five adult pilots last month for viewers to watch and rate, and now, according to Variety, they’ve picked up four shows to series.
So which shows made the cut? Take a look at the list below, plus a description of what they’re about…
“THE AFTER: From Chris Carter, creator of The X-Files. Eight strangers are thrown together by mysterious forces and must help each other survive in a violent world that defies explanation.
BOSCH: Based on Michael Connelly’s best-selling book series, Bosch (Titus Welliver), an LAPD homicide detective works to solve the murder of a 13-year-old boy while standing trial in federal court for the murder of a serial killer. We’d love to know what you thought of this show.
MOZART IN THE JUNGLE: Sex, drugs–and classical music–what happens behind the curtains at the symphony can be just as captivating as what happens on stage. Created by Paul Weitz (About A Boy), Roman Coppola (The Darjeeling Limited), Jason Schwartzman (Moonrise Kingdom) and Alex Timbers (Peter and the Starcatcher).
TRANSPARENT: Created by Jill Soloway (Six Feet Under, United States of Tara). An LA family with serious boundary issues have their past and future unravel when a dramatic admission causes everyone’s secrets to spill out.”

I am happy to hear that Transparent and Mozart in the Jungle were picked up. I thought that Bosch and The After were terrible. Bosch was a very grim show. The After didn’t make any sense. I might watch one more episode of The After just because it is by Chris Carter
