GLEE’s Final Season to Be 13 Episodes
July 10, 2014 by Marisa Roffman
GLEE’s final season will officially be its shortest: a rep for the show has confirmed GLEE’s upcoming sixth season will only be 13 episodes.
Back in May, then-Fox boss Kevin Reilly hinted that the 22 episode order for the show could be cut.
“We’re actually going to sit down with [GLEE creator] Ryan [Murphy] and really talk about how we’re going to end it, and figure that out,” Reilly said at the time. “The advantage of having it on later in the season is we don’t have to feel the pressure of delivering [the episodes on time]; we can do them in a row. So we’re going to talk about exactly the best way to end the show, and how many [episodes] that is.”
