What to Watch…Tuesday, April 15, 2008

After the Monday night extravaganza of new scripted TV, tonight it’s back to mostly reality with a few new eppys thrown in for good measure.

Of course for me, Tuesday is all about IDOL. But since I’m going on vacation, I’m placing this week’s IDOL recap in the capable hands of my friends Deb & Glenn.  The fact that a slumber party was planned so they can properly recap, well, let’s just say that I can’t wait to see what they come up with.

American Idol | 8pm on Fox
The seven remaining finalists will be mentored by Miss Mariah Carey tonight. I’m sure Carly and the other girls walked a way with pointers on how to dress wildly inappropriate for your age, while the guys learned the not so subtle art of being a diva. After her “mentoring”, the contestants will sing selections from Mariah’s repertoire.

Big Brother 9 | 9pm on CBS
Tonight it’s all about the oh so important power of veto. Sharon and Adam are on the block and need the golden POV to live another day in the Big Brother house. I was a bit spoiled on who won as well as some of the happenings in the house, and all I’m going to say is that it’s getting all kinds of interesting up in there.

Alan fields a difficult request from Shirley after her father suffers an injury while in the late stages of his battle with Alzheimer’s; Carl represents a group of Nantucket residents who are concerned about homeland security.

Benson poses as a prison inmate to expose a corrupt guard suspected of stealing evidence in a rape case. Shareeka Epps and Hassan Johnson guest star.
