CSI and TWO AND A HALF MEN Pull a Switcheroo
May 1, 2008 by Kath Skerry
CSI and TWO AND A HALF MEN don’t usually get much love here on GMMR, but when they do something as interesting as switch writers for an episode…well, that sure does get our attention.
Yes, the writers for the two CBS juggernauts will be trading spaces spouses writers for next week’s episodes. Next Monday’s episode of TWO AND A HALF MEN, entitled “Fish in a Drawer,” was written by the CSI writing staff. Then, on Thursday the CSI episode written by the TWO AND A HALF MEN scribes,”Two and a Half Deaths”, will air.
Naren Shankar, an Executive Producer at CSI is excited about the switch but says viewers won’t feel cheated our of an episode of their favorite show. “What distinguishes this one from episodes we’ve done in the past is that you really do hear Chuck [Lorre] and Lee’s [Aronsohn], voice in it. It’s probably a little broader than we’ve done in the past, but it absolutely is ‘CSI.’ There’s a great mystery at the heart of it and a payoff at the end.”
According to reports, “Two and a Half Deaths” features Grissom and his team investigating the murder of a sitcom actress who’s killed while filming in Las Vegas. On “Fish in a Drawer,” a mysterious death occurs at Charlie’s house and a CSI team (not the CSI team) shows up to investigate.
Cheers – I think this is pretty interesting.

I’ve been excited about this switcheroo since I first heard rumblings about it. Should be good!
