The Fox Upfronts – The Morning After

Can’t say that I have the proper words to sum up the amount of fun I had at last night’s Fox Upfront party in NYC.  It was a crazy good time and a night that I will NEVER forget.  It was quite the way to end an already extraordinary week.

I know I’ve been promising pictures and they will be coming soon, I swear.  I have this amazing knack for leaving at home the cord I need to upload my pictures.  But pictures you will get…and some video too.  Oh yes, the video I have from last night is Ah-mah-zing.  But when you spend the better part of your night dancing with your favorite stars from SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE taking video to remember it all is just flat out necessary.

Yes, the SYTYCD kids were a big surprise at the Upfront presentations, and I was giddy with excitement at the chance of seeing my favorites dance again.  Winners Nick, Benji and Sabra were all there.  As was Travis, Jailbait Ivan, Lacey, Hok, Stanislav, Ryan and a few others (forgive me, my mind isn’t quite functioning this morning…it was a long night). After seeing them perform at the presentation I was thrilled at the idea of snapping a pic with them later in the night at the party.  Little did I know the fun I would have after I personally dragged Travis, Lacey and Nick to the dance floor with me.  The rest followed, and well, let’s just say that dancing on stage with Ryan, Travis and Benji in front of the thousand or so people at the Fox party didn’t really factor into my game plan for the night. I may have dreamed it a few times, but I don’t think I ever thought it would actually happen.  They were all amazing.  A great group of people who were kind and sweet to all the fans, and I personally had one of the best night’s of my life dancing it up with them.  And all you fellow SYTYCD fans will enjoy knowing that Travis and Ryan have agreed to talk with us during the season about the show and their thoughts on the new season…sweet!

But the SYTYCD kids weren’t the only ones in the house. Nope, not by a long shot.  I also snagged pics of Wentworth Miller, Dom Purcell, Amaury Nolasco and Sarah Wayne Callies of PRISON BREAK.  And I say pics of and not with because the Gods have something against me and are determined to make sure I never actually meet Wentworth Miller.

Eliza Dushku was there and looked stunning!  I actually got to say a quick hello to Joss Whedon and congratulated him on DOLLHOUSE which was a big hit at the presentation (oh and more on the presentation and Fox’s new shows coming soon).

I got to meet Robert Sean Leonard and Jesse Spencer from HOUSE.  I asked Jesses what he knew of the rumored spinoff but he didn’t seem to know anything.  He was actually asking me what I heard because he said he’s so out of the loop.  But he did say that we can expect to see more of him on HOUSE (and that ain’t a bad thing).

My friend Kelly and I were super excited to snag a pic with the Wills – Will Arnett and Will Forte.  We had the pleasure of meeting Will Forte the other night, but Will Arnett!  I think you all know the love in my heart I have for him.

Oh and did I mention that I met Joshua Jackson?  Yeah he was there too. I’m not really a fan so I wasn’t that excited, and by that I mean Holy Mother of Sweet God in Heaven I met Joshua Jackson!!  It was incredible.  I actually got to have a conversation with the guy (more details coming soon).  I don’t know if it gets any better than that…at least for me.  I can’t wait to post the pics (and kudos to my friend Kelly for snapping away during our conversation..i love her!).  And if meeting JJ wasn’t cool enough, I also got to meet the other JJ – Abrams that is!  He was really, really cool and it was such a thrill to meet such a creative genius and a man so important to the TV world.

Ok so listen, I think you got that it was an amazing night for me.  A blog post won’t do it justice.  I’ll give you a little more scoop on everything from the Fox presentation and the Upfront after party soon.  But right now I have to head out to Penn Station and take the train back to Boston.  (And don’t think I won’t be staring at my pics the whole way back.)
