GOTHAM: 5 Teases For ‘The Blind Fortune Teller’
February 16, 2015 by Marisa Roffman
The ads Fox has been running for GOTHAM have been teasing that big things are going down in tonight’s new episode, “The Blind Fortune Teller,” and, at the very least, the hour certainly sets some fun things in motion.
And while I don’t wait to ruin the shenanigans that go down in the hour, I do have a few teases for you about “The Blind Fortune Teller” to make the wait for the episode a little more bearable…
1. Never underestimate Fish. She may be locked up — with her captors, apparently, taking body parts from the prisoners — but she finds an interesting way to rally the people around her, and make an attempt to get their power back in their hands.
2. The show’s promos have been heavily hinting that SHAMELESS star Cameron Monaghan is the future Joker. And while I won’t confirm/deny that, Monaghan is excellent as Jerome. And there are a few other guest stars: James Monroe Iglehart (who won a Tony for Best Featured Actor in a Musical in “Aladdin”) is great as the ringleader, while BREAKING BAD’s Mark Margolis has a turn as the episode’s title character.
3. Barbara has been away for a bit — and Jim Gordon has moved on with his romantic life — but she reappears and makes friends with some unlikely people. Though Jim and Leslie are getting closer, so how will any of the trio react when that comes to a head?
4. Penguin finds managing the club more difficult than he imagined. (Though his mother gets a plum role.) But things start to look up when he gets an unexpected (and kind of twisted) gift.
5. While Bruce in many ways got to be a kid in the last episode, in this week’s episode, he takes on the Wayne Enterprises board members.
