Dominic Monaghan to Guest on CHUCK

Nicole Richie, John Laroquette, Michael Strahan, Melinda Clarke…and now Dominic Monaghan.  With all the guest stars on CHUCK this season you would think we were watching 30 ROCK.  But unlike others shows who shall not be named (ok UGLY BETTY), CHUCK knows how to really utilize its guest stars so it feels more organic and less stunty (is that a word?  it is now).According to Michael Ausiello, Dom will come on board to play “a free-spirited British rock star targeted for death by a shadowy group of evildoers.”  But before you break out into a chorus of “You All Everybody”, just know that’s where the similarities end. “This is a very, very different kind of character,” insists executive producer Josh Schwartz. “He’s a lunatic in the best sense of the word. And there’s no heroin [addiction].”

It’s going to be a while before you see Dom at the Buy More.  His ep will be the big CHUCK ep planned for the day after the Superbowl.

Ausiello talked to Dom about how he came aboard the CHUCKwagon.  Read all about it here.

Awww, yay! I’ve been happy with all the Chuck guest stars so far, even the ones I was iffy about, and this sounds like a fun episode. I know Dominic can bring the funny from the LotRs, so I’m getting excited!

Awesome! If I can’t have Dom on Lost, I’ll take him on Chuck. Chuck is so good this season. It’s at the top of my “nobody call me during this show” list along with The Office and Pushing Daisies.

yippee!!! i loved dominic on lost so to have him on tv again, even as a guest star, makes my day. well, that and the fact that chuck is really really good this season. i’m doing a little happy dance here, folks.

by the way, read somewhere earlier today that the guy (forgot his name, oops!) who plays bryce now has a show in development or something thereabouts on the usa network. wonder how that will play into any long term chuck-sarah-bryce plans the show runners had?
