Wednesday TV! Let’s talk about what went down…

THE GOLDBERGS: Oh my God. I know I mentioned last week that Sean Giambrone (Adam) was growing up, but “The Pubening”?!?!? Oh my God. (That was worth repeating.) Such a fun idea to work Milli Vanilli into the mix (via Adam trying to avoid his voice cracking on stage).

MODERN FAMILY: For me, the best storyline was Alex’s move to college. It was great how they avoided a lot of the “leaving for college” cliches and opted to really focus on Alex trying to do it on her own (with a bit of help from Haley), and ultimately let the sisters bond.

EMPIRE: It wasn’t my absolute favorite song, but I so enjoyed that Lucious used what was at his disposal to make music in prison.

I may have also been the only EMPIRE viewer to think of the 2014 movie, BEGIN AGAIN, when Hakeem released his album without his label’s consent…wonder what the impact of that will be, going forward?

NASHVILLE: So, Juliette’s just not going to have her phone? This feels very short-sighted. And I know I should care about Beverly possibly dying, but…meh. And obviously Scarlett isn’t going to stay with her doctor boyfriend, but it is kind of icky the writers had him so undermine her music career — what Scarlett fan would want them to be together now? If you’re going to have a triangle, at least let all points be contenders.
