BONES: Carla Gallo on Having to Give Birth On-Screen

BONES’ Daisy is having a baby, and while Carla Gallo (Daisy) had some hesitancy about having to film the labor experience, fans will get to see the child be born in the next episode, “The Puzzler in the Pit.”
Of course, the moment will be extra meaningful for all the characters involved (and the viewers), since the father of Daisy’s son is Sweets (Daisy’s off-on boyfriend), who died in the season premiere. (AKA, odds are good there will be some tears.)
So what will the birth be like? I spoke with Gallo (who was accompanied by fellow squintern Eugene Byrd, AKA Clark at the 200th episode celebration on the BONES set last week, and whom had his own praise for Gallo) to get her take on it…
BONES: Carla Gallo on Filming Sweets’ Memorial, Possibly Giving Birth On-Screen, and More

The BONES team said goodbye to Sweets in “The Lance to the Heart” in a very appropriate way: they gathered together, shared stories of what he meant to him, and sang “Coconut” as they scattered his ashes.
I spoke with BONES’ Carla Gallo (Daisy) about filming the memorial for her on-screen love, possibly giving birth on-screen, her favorite Sweets/Daisy moment, and more…

The BONES characters were thrown for a loop when Sweets was killed in the season 10 premiere, but no one was more devastated than squintern, Daisy, Sweets’ off-on love — and the mother of his unborn son.
I spoke with BONES’ Carla Gallo (Daisy) about her off and on-screen devastation about Sweets’ death, filming “The Conspiracy in the Corpse,” and more… Read more
BONES: Carla Gallo on the Sweets and Daisy Split, and When She’s Returning to the Show

There may not be a new episode of BONES tonight, but you guys won’t object to a little dish about what’s to come, right? (That’s what I thought.)
I caught up with Carla Gallo (Daisy) at the premiere carpet for AMERICAN HORROR STORY season 2, and fresh off her character’s split with Sweets, we had a lot to talk about.
Take a look at the video below to see her thoughts on the latest “Swaisy” collapse, how she found out about Sweets’ kiss with another woman, when she’ll return, and more…
BONES: Is Daisy in Danger? Carla Gallo Weighs In
March 14, 2011 by Marisa Roffman

Since the BONES producers warned that someone we know is in jeopardy, fans have been speculating which character might become the sniper’s victim. Carla Gallo’s busy career outside of BONES has made Daisy an easy frontrunner for scheduling reasons — Gallo is in a CW pilot and has booked various movie roles/guest spots on TV — but is Sweets’ girl in danger?
I caught up with Gallo at the FREAKS & GEEKS/UNDECLARED PaleyFest reunion and after we talked about her time on UNDECLARED, she shared her thoughts on the rumors that Daisy’s time is running out and how she’d like the Daisy-Sweets relationship to wrap up this season…
Celebrating BONES’ 15th Anniversary

On Tuesday, September 13, 2005, BONES debuted on Fox.
The series, in many ways, defied all the odds: the little show that could moved time slots and days consistently and frequently didn’t get the respect it deserved. But the procedural series, led by David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel, still remains the longest-running live-action drama Fox has ever aired.
In honor of the show’s 15th anniversary, we’re looking back at 15 memorable pieces…and dug up a retro video you likely haven’t seen. (And, in case you missed them at the time, no one recapped the show better than Sarah Curtis.) Read more
Looking Back at the BONES Series Finale

Comments Off on Looking Back at the BONES Series Finale
On March 28, 2017, BONES concluded its 12-season run on Fox.
The 246 episodes the drama ran is impressive on any level, but in an age when few shows even film 20+ episode seasons, it’s hard to imagine many current shows reaching that milestone. (BONES ended its run as Fox’s longest-running live-action series; THE X-FILES just reached 218, but likely won’t go beyond that.)
Of course, the people associated with the show have been busy since then: David Boreanaz’s (Booth) SEAL TEAM was just renewed for season 2; Tamara Taylor (Cam) was on season 1 of ALTERED CARBON; Michaela Conlin (Angela) will be on YELLOWSTONE; John Francis Daley has found a great amount of success with screenwriting; and a gaggle of squinterns/supporting characters are popping up all over TV.

We’re only a few hours away from BONES airing two episodes back-to-back (they are not connected by case, so calling it a two-hour episode feels wrong), and after viewing “The Lost in the Found” and “The Verdict in the Victims,” I do have a few teases about what’s going down… Read more
BONES’ Jonathan Collier on the Show’s Next Serial Killer: ‘This One You Don’t See Coming’
December 16, 2014 by Marisa Roffman
BONES has taken on many serial killers during the show’s run, but since the show unraveled the FBI conspiracy earlier this season (following Sweets’ death), there hasn’t been one longer-running baddie the team has had to focus on trying to stop.
But that’s going to change soon.
When the show returns in 2015 there will be a lot of things in store, as executive producer Jonathan Collier teased in the video below, and one of the big things is a new serial killer fans won’t see coming.
Check out the video below for more from Collier!
BONES: The Cast and Producers Share Memories From Their First Days on the Set

BONES’ 200th episode is airing this Thursday, and as Fox Television Group Chairman and CEO Gary Newman pointed out during an on-set celebration, it’s one of only a few Fox shows to reach that incredible milestone.
To celebrate how far Team BONES has come, I asked the cast and producers for their first memories of working on the series. Check out what BONES creator Hart Hanson, executive producer Stephen Nathan, as well as stars David Boreanaz (Booth), Emily Deschanel (Brennan), Michaela Conlin (Angela), TJ Thyne (Hodgins), Tamara Taylor (Cam), John Boyd (Aubrey), Carla Gallo (Daisy), Eugene Byrd (Clark), Michael Grant Terry (Wendell), Pej Vahdat (Arastoo), Laura Spencer (Jessica), Ignacio Serricchio (Fuentes), and Cyndi Lauper (Avalon) had to share…

Comments Off on The BONES Cast and Producers Tease Episode 200
BONES is telling a different kind of story for its 200th episode — sure, a body is discovered, but the episode is set in Hollywood in the 1950s, and Brennan is a cop, while Booth is a jewel thief.
And since the hour is bringing back a lot of familiar faces, I asked BONES executive producers Stephen Nathan and Jonathan Collier, as well as stars David Boreanaz (Booth), Emily Deschanel (Brennan), Michaela Conlin (Angela), TJ Thyne (Hodgins), Tamara Taylor (Cam), John Boyd (Aubrey), Carla Gallo (Daisy), Eugene Byrd (Clark), Michael Grant Terry (Wendell), Pej Vahdat (Arastoo), Laura Spencer (Jessica), and Ignacio Serricchio (Fuentes) for their best teases about the hour…
BONES: John Boyd Teases Aubrey and Brennan Working Together

The newest member of the BONES family, John Boyd (Aubrey), has been spending a good amount with David Boreanaz’ Booth, but when I spoke with him recently, he acknowledged that “Aubrey has a side to him that’s a little bit Brennan.”
And while the duo have had a few memorable moments, they’ll get their biggest amount of time together in this week’s episode, “The Mutilation of the Master Manipulator“: while Booth is off at traffic school (due to Boreanaz prepping to direct the 200th episode), Aubrey and Brennan officially work together.
In the video below, Boyd shares a bit of what that dynamic is like, plus he talks about how much he knew about Aubrey when he joined the show…
