There may have been no new episode of COMMUNITY airing this week (*sob*), but at least they’re giving us something pretty darn awesome to look forward to.
It was recently revealed the show will be tackling yet another pop-culture homage — this time, Quentin Tarantino’s PULP FICTION. The episode will revolve around the study group’s plans for a surprise party for Abed’s birthday.
LOST’s Josh Holloway to Guest on COMMUNITY

Attention: fan-boys and -girls everywhere… LOST and COMMUNITY are about to collide.
According to EW.com, LOST’s Josh Holloway (who played former bad boy Sawyer) is in the final stages of closing a deal to appear on COMMUNITY for the sitcom’s two-part season finale.
If it’s anything like LOST’s finales, I suppose we should be worried for the safety of our favorite characters! From the looks of it, the episode will be part two of the epic paintball-themed “Modern Warfare” from the show’s first season.
Holloway is apparently set to emerge as a “mysterious figure who shows up on campus during another paintball game.”
You’d think Dean Pelton would have put the kabash on the students of Greendale Community College arming themselves by now, but apparently not.
Sawyer and another game of paintball all in one episode? There’s no way I’m missing this.
Will you be tuning in?

COMMUNITY Recap: ‘Intro to Political Science’

Comments Off on COMMUNITY Recap: ‘Intro to Political Science’
When dealing with politics, especially in times such as these, you are bound to run up against some archetypes. The dreamer, the schemer, that rather ridiculous person in the corner who came to the debate armed only with a catch-phrase and virtually nothing else (“POP POP!”).
It is often much the same when dealing with sitcoms. It is a genre constructed around certain prototypes that have been proven to sell. And the same could be said about COMMUNITY, to a certain degree. Except…not really.

Guess who’s ba-aack?
With Katherine freed from the tomb as a rather unfortunate side-effect of Elijah’s death, she’s camping out at the Salvatore mansion. She claims it’s for everyone’s benefit: supposedly she’s there to help them all in their attempts to kill Klaus and stop the sacrifice. As usual, however, she’s got some mind games to play along the way.
But can we trust her? Check out these previews and judge for yourself…

Hey, MODERN FAMILY fans! Tonight’s episode brings some not-so-good news for the Dunphys: a fight between Phil and Claire. And to make matters worse, according to the clip below, our beloved bumbling husband Phil has absolutely no idea what they’re even fighting about.
But they won’t be alone in the fight — Jay and Gloria come to their aid to try to ease the tensions. But why do I get the feeling that might just make things worse? No worries! I’m sure they’ll have it all sorted out by the end of the episode…I hope.

COMMUNITY Recap: ‘Intermediate Documentary Filmmaking’

Mind games. Daddy issues. LEVAR BURTON!
COMMUNITY was out in full force this week, and in the process we learned a lot more about how our favorite characters work when faced with (admittedly strange) adversity.
The episode opened with the study group finding out that Pierce had been hospitalized after going too far with his Andy-Dick-hallucinating pill problem. The group is understandably frazzled, and they immediately rush to his side. They arrive to the startling news that Pierce is dying.
This is false, of course— it’s still a sitcom, and not one written by Joss Whedon (who, for the uninitiated, is famous for his willingness to kill major characters). No, Pierce just constructed this lie to “exact [his] revenge” on his friends for leaving him out so much lately.

Are you ready to time travel, VAMPIRE DIARIES fans? In Thursday’s episode, “The Dinner Party,” we find ourselves back in the late 1800s again — this time to explore more of Stefan’s dark past.
Flash forward to the present time and we find our favorite Mystic Falls vampires hosting a dinner party. The party will be thrown by Damon, with the guest list including Jenna, Alaric, Andie, and…Elijah. According to the episode description, “last minute information throws Damon’s plan into chaos.” Hmm.

Jeff Winger: son of William the Barely Known, worker-outer of abs, kisser of inappropriately-aged young women, world champion texter. He also has another, rather unfortunate habit: the tendency to do mean or inconsiderate things to the people around him without even realizing it. This has long been part of his charm, part of the swarthy smile that stretches across his face and reminds us that, yeah, he may be a douche, but he’s also hot and hilarious and surprisingly self-aware, so it’s OK.
Then there’s the fact that is the most comforting of all, that tidbit that throws all of Jeff Winger’s actions safely into perspective for all who doubted him: He’s still better than Pierce.
