CHUCK Renewed for Season 5!!

Nerds! Geeks! Buy Morons! Time to celebrate. Chuck Bartowski has cheated death once again. NBC has just renewed CHUCK for a fifth season. The series has been picked up for an initial 13 episode pickup.

No word yet on the likelihood of a full season pick-up, but given CHUCK’s track record, I’d feel ok putting some money on it.

John Krasinski and Alec Baldwin’s Sox vs. Yanks Rivalry is Taken to the Next Level [VIDEO]

Really, Alec? You think I’m just going to let you get away with that? You my friend, best watch your back!

John Krasinski and that Yankee fan that rides Tina Fey’s coattails star in a brand new New Era commercial. Ha!  Keep ’em coming, New Era (but perhaps next time you can leave John’s adorable face alone, ok?)

In case you missed Krasinski and Baldwin’s first commercial, check it out here.

Travis Wall Choreographs Adele’s DANCING WITH THE STARS Performance [VIDEO]

Comments Off on Travis Wall Choreographs Adele’s DANCING WITH THE STARS Performance [VIDEO]

The visual artistry of Travis Wall was on display in front of millions as the SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE alum choreographed and performed alongside current “it” singer, Adele, during her appearance on last night’s DANCING WITH THE STARS. While Adele’s vocals remained center stage, Travis, Chantal Aguire, and fellow former SYTYCDancers Nick Lazzarini and Jaimie Goodwin complimented her performance with their beautiful dancing.

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE returns in just a few weeks and I am giddy with anticipation. Here’s to hoping Travis is very involved with the show once again this season. The guy is seriously in demand these days, so we’ll have to wait and see.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with Travis Wall’s work, spend some time on YouTube – you’ll be blown away. Here is one of my favorite piece of his, from last season of DWTS.

GLEE Recap: “Prom Queen”

May 10, 2011 by

I get nervous making such bold statements after just one viewing, but I’m going to do it – tonight’s episode of GLEE might be my favorite episode ever! (I of course reserve the right to change my mind after you all remind me of the numerous other times I’ve made the same exact statement.) At the very least I feel confident in saying that it broke into my top five list. As up and down I’ve been with GLEE this season, I think that’s saying a lot.

GLEE often strays far from the realities of the true high school experience, but tonight it got more right than wrong. Like way too many life events, prom is centered around the unrealistic expectations of a perfect night. The perfect dress. The perfect date. All leading up to that perfect moment. Sounds easy enough, but with all that pressure it’s no wonder that prom can crash and burn, just as it did for many of our McKinley High favorites. Don’t believe me? Go to any prom and check out the girls bathroom. I guarantee you’ll find plenty of drama and tears. (On second thought, please don’t crash any high school proms or girls bathrooms for that matter. That’s just creepy. You’ll just have to trust me on this one.)

The Lonely Island guys are back and this time they brought along Michael Bolton because, well, um. Anyway, the guys premiered their latest video “Jack Sparrow” during last night’s SNL.

Another win for Lonely Island or were you as annoyed with Michael Bolton as they guys in the club were?

AMERICAN IDOL Castoff Pia Toscano Sings on DANCING WITH THE STARS

I’ll ask again…Why? How?

Pia Toscano left AMERICAN IDOL way too early this season, but thankfully she hasn’t really left the spotlight.  Last night she performed “I’ll Stand By You” during the DANCING WITH THE STARS results show.  Her rendition was breathtaking…as always.

THE OFFICE’s ‘Seasons of Love’ Tribute to Michael Scott

Two of my favorite things came together last night – ‘Rent’ and THE OFFICE. (Ok, three of my favorite things if you include John Krasinski…and four if you count John Krasinski singing.)

If you missed the Dunder Mifflin ‘Seasons of Love’ dedication to Michael Scott, check it out here.

Am I the only one who is going to be a total wreck next week during Steve Carell’s last episodes?

GLEE Spoilers: Sneak Peek – Blaine & The Warblers Serenade Kurt

April 22, 2011 by
Filed under #1 featured, Glee, Glee Spoilers

Just when I thought I couldn’t possibly love Blaine and the Pips anymore, the Dalton Academy boys go and do this. (WARNING: GLEE SPOILER ALERT!)

Fans of GLEE probably know that next week is a bit of a homecoming for Kurt Hummel – he will be returning to McKinley High and more importantly to New Directions. Although I’m sure he will be happy rejoining his friends, Kurt will have to say goodbye to The Warblers and his sweet adorable boyfriend, Blaine.

Lucky for Kurt and Blaine (and us), being at different schools won’t mean the end of our favorite super couple, but the separation will no doubt be tough for both. Given the pained look on Blaine’s face in this sneak peek of next week’s episode, I think he’s going to miss having Kurt around school every day.

Watch as Blaine and The Warblers bid Kurt adieu with a serenade of Keane’s “Somewhere Only We Know”. (I’ve watched the clip at least five times now, and I’ve yet to get through it without reaching for a tissue to dab my teary eyes. I’m a sucker for these boys.)

“Somewhere Only We Know” as well as all the hits from The Warblers is available on the new CD GLEE: The Music presents The Warblers. I bought the CD the day it was released and haven’t stopped listening to it since. Seriously, I’m obsessed.

Please tell me you loved this scene as much as I did!

BTW, this clip does nothing to help me overcome my current obsession with all things Darren Criss. Nothing at all.

Comments Off on The TV Talk Podcast: THE GOOD WIFE, SURVIVOR, THE KILLING, THE OFFICE, Darren Criss and More!

A lot can happen in a month, especially on television. Kath and Dan are finally back to discuss what a month can do to a couple of TV podcasters. There’s our typical shit-show approach but in this episode there’s some great conversation about a lot of our favorite shows. We missed you listeners, we hope you missed us as well! Welcome back friends.

Highlights:

  • “How cute did his face get when you finally saw his abs?”
  • “It had a great run, a great 18 season run even though we’re only on season 2.”
  • It’s the end of the series Cappie, what are you gonna do? Greek series finale discussions.
  • After the podcast, Ducky realizes that once again he’s completely murdered a beloved TV figure’s name. Can you catch it?
  • Either Ducky has tourettes or there’s a technical glitch in the 34 minute range. WTF?!
  • NPH once again evades the stalking and not so stealth Kath.
  • We wax waaaaay philosophical on The Good Wife. It’s a Eli and Kalinda love fest.
  • Glee Paley Panel discussion.
  • 1:04:50 – yes, she did…
  • Top Chef All-Stars – who did we think would face off against Blais?
  • Grey’s Musical – Genius or F#$k Stupid?
  • Robin Givens? Not so much…
  • Do we or Don’t We talk about TVD and SPN?
  • The Killing kills it.
  • ABDC has the worst camera work on television.
  • Upcoming returning shows
  • Our thoughts on The Hunger Games casting!
  • A major SYTYCDebacle

John Krasinski vs. Alec Baldwin – The New Sox/Yankees Rivalry

April 8, 2011 by
Filed under 30 Rock, John Krasinski, The Office

To all my fellow Red Sox fans out there…Happy Opening Day! Ok, we may have had a tough start to the season, but what’s six games? We still have the whole season ahead of us. That being said, it does pain me just a bit to post this new Sox vs. Yankees commercial. But given that it stars THE OFFICE’s John Krasinski and 30 ROCK’s Alec Baldwin, I felt compelled. I mean really…adorable!

I can take the heat Yankees fans. It’s all good. We’ve got John Krasinski. You can take Alec Baldwin.

GO SOX!!!

Matt Bomer Co-Hosts ‘The Today Show’ [VIDEO]

Comments Off on Matt Bomer Co-Hosts ‘The Today Show’ [VIDEO]

I’ve never really watched the 4th hour of the THE TODAY SHOW as I find Kathie Lee Gifford reprehensible in almost every way possible, but…if you had WHITE COLLAR star Matt Bomer in the co-host chair on a daily basis then I guarantee I’d be tuning in.

Matt Bomer joined Hoda Kotb this morning as co-host and he was just as j’adorable as you would imagine. They talked about everything from Matt’s start as an actor on ALL MY CHILDREN to the sexiness of Sofia Vergara and Matt even gave a special camera kiss to his three kids Kit, Walker and Henry. Aww.

Of course the highlight was watching The Bomer jam out to Rebecca Black’s hellacious “Friday”. (Check out his moves at the 7:40 mark)

I thought he looked extremely comfortable and the gig suited him well. (Then again, what doesn’t suit that man well…)

Great work, Bomer!
